The House
Small enough to know every guest by name.
Aster House holds twenty-two rooms and nothing more. That number is the whole design: a house that stays quiet, a restaurant that cooks for a single room of people, and a stretch of coast that never feels shared.
Everything a stay needs is already here. Ocean views from the rooms, treatments when the body asks for them, and private trails that begin at the door and end somewhere with a view of the water.
- Twenty-two rooms
- The entire house, counted. No towers, no wings.
- Pacific Ocean views
- The water is the reason the building sits where it does.
- An on-site restaurant
- Dinner is a short walk, never a drive down the highway.
- Wellness treatments
- Booked into the day rather than squeezed around it.

Rooms
Twenty-two rooms, all facing the water.
The house was built around the view. Rooms open toward the Pacific, and the weather, fog in the morning, a long gold evening, does most of the decorating.

01
The view is standard
Ocean views are not a category here. They are the condition of the building.
02
A house, not a resort
Twenty-two rooms means corridors stay quiet and mornings stay yours.
03
Everything within walking
Restaurant, treatments and trailheads are all a few steps from the door.

Restaurant
Dinner is downstairs, and the coast is out the window.
Big Sur is a long drive in either direction after dark. So the restaurant is part of the house, a single room, cooking for the people staying here, with the ocean doing what it does beyond the glass.
- An on-site restaurant, open to house guests
- A room sized for twenty-two, not two hundred
- No highway drive between a walk and a table
Wellness
Treatments built into the shape of the day.
Wellness treatments are available on site, arranged around when you actually want them, after the morning trail, before dinner, or in the flat quiet of the afternoon when the fog comes back in.
- 01Morning on the trailsPrivate paths from the house, out toward the water.
- 02A treatment on siteWellness booked into the middle of the day.
- 03Dinner downstairsThe restaurant, the view, and no drive home.

Private Trails
Walks that start at the door and end at the edge.
The house keeps its own walking trails. No trailhead parking, no waiting for a gap in the traffic on the highway, just a path out of the grounds and into the country the house sits in.
Private
Trails kept for house guests.
From the door
No drive to reach the start of a walk.
Ocean-facing
Paths that hold the Pacific in view.
Booking Direct
Talk to the house, not a third party.
An inquiry sent here reaches the people who run Aster House. They know which rooms are open, how the restaurant is sitting that night, and whether a treatment can be arranged around your trail walk.
